The von Krusenstierna is a Swedish noble family, ennobled in 1649 and introduced in 1650 into the Swedish House of Nobility. The family is No. 460 among the Swedish peerage and has several bransches with members residing in Sweden, Germany, Poland, Russia, the USA, Australia and Canada.
The noble family von Krusenstierna originated in Germany. The ancestor of the family is pastor Johannes Krause, who died in 1558. His grandson, Philippus Crusius, entered Swedish
service in Reval (now Tallinn) in Swedish Estonia in 1644. There he was first appointed assessor at the city court and then governor. He was ennobled by Queen Christina In 1649.
